What are the advantages of using the LevelSpy compared to using a conventional tape?

The measurement result of the Levelspy is considerably more accurate (hence more reliable). Because, contrary to the tapeline, there is no physical contact between the LevelSpy and the water surface, the measurement result deviate less from the real distance. When using a tapeline, the line may fold, extended, affected by an obstacle in the tube or even push up the water because the probe weight pushes the water up until the moment that the water hits the isolated measuring point.

Apart from the time savings a significant advantage is that when using the LevelSpy there is no contamination between the measuring pipes due to the absence of a physical contact between the LevelSpy and the (ground) water.
